This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on Clinket’s websites — the Clinket website for customers, the Clinket website for businesses and the Clinket AI Assistant website — and the choices you have.
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. Our websites also save some information in your browser’s own storage, which works in a similar way. We use both to keep you signed in and secure, to remember your choices and, only as described in Section 4, to understand how our websites are used.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we keep the advertising features of Google’s tools switched off.
These are needed for our websites to work and to keep accounts safe, so they cannot be switched off in our settings. You can block them in your browser, but signing in and other features will then stop working.
These remember choices you make, so you do not have to make them again. They stay until you clear your browser data, unless a shorter time is shown.
Clinket’s own analytics. We record general activity — such as pages viewed, searches made and buttons pressed — together with the device identifier, to improve Clinket and to personalise search results and recommendations. We never record the contents of your messages, reviews or uploads. We shorten IP addresses and round locations to about 1 km before we store them.
We collect this only after you choose Accept all. Until you choose, and if you decline, your browser sends us no activity information, and the records our servers keep of things like searches are not linked to you or to your device.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Only if you choose Accept all, we may also load these Google tools to measure, in total, how our websites are used. Google then sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_ followed by a code, which can last up to 2 years. These tools are never loaded before you accept, and never on pages opened from a private link, such as a link to your booking or a calling-permission page.
On your first visit we ask you to choose Accept all or Decline analytics, or to Choose each option yourself. You can change your mind at any time from Your privacy choices, which you can open from our websites and apps.
Your choice is saved in the clinket_consent cookie and, if you are signed in, on your Clinket account, so it follows you to your other devices. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to limit how your information is used and switch on Limit how my data is used for you. That setting tells Google’s analytics tools to follow stricter rules.
Some features use services from other companies, loaded only on the pages that need them. These companies may set their own cookies and handle information under their own privacy policies.
Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can also install Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) to refuse Google Analytics on every website.
If you have questions about this policy or want to use your privacy rights, email legal@clinket.com.
You can change your cookie preferences any time. Essential cookies always stay on so the site can function.
