These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Clinket customer app, the Clinket business app, the Clinket websites (including every public business page), and the related services, features and communications we provide (together, the “Platform”). These Terms apply to you if you are located in India or if you use the Platform as offered for India.
By creating an account, signing in, ticking the box that accepts these Terms, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Community Guidelines, and to the Business Verification Policy, each of which forms part of these Terms. If you visit the Platform without an account, the parts of these Terms that apply to visitors (including Section 20 on automated access, scraping and AI use) apply to you from the moment you access the Platform. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
If you use the Platform for a business, you accept these Terms both for yourself and for that business, and you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
The Platform is operated by Clinket (“Clinket”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Clinket is a technology marketplace that helps independent local service businesses and professionals (“Providers”) to be found by, and to deal with, people looking for services (“Customers”). Clinket also gives Providers software tools to run their business, such as bookings, quotes, invoices, Contacts, a team inbox, the AI Assistant phone service, Outbound calls and Ask Clinket.
For the purposes of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, Clinket acts as an intermediary for content that users publish or send through the Platform. For the purposes of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Clinket operates a marketplace. Clinket does not provide the services listed on the Platform, does not employ Providers or their staff, does not supervise how services are performed, and is not a party to any contract for services between a Customer and a Provider. That contract is made directly between the Customer and the Provider.
Except for the limited checks described in Section 4, Clinket does not verify, vouch for or guarantee the identity, qualifications, credentials, licences, criminal history, character, work quality, safety practices, insurance, financial standing or conduct of any Provider. Clinket is not responsible for any service outcome, property damage, theft, burglary, personal injury, illness, harassment, abuse, fraud, delay, workmanship issue, missed appointment, payment dispute or any other act or omission of a Provider or a Customer, except to the extent the law makes Clinket responsible.
Most businesses on Clinket have not been verified by Clinket. Clinket’s team may give a business the Verified business mark after checking the business’s registration, the owner’s identity, and the business’s licence and insurance where its trade requires them. The mark cannot be bought, and Clinket can remove it at any time. Our Business Verification Policy explains what we check and the other marks you may see.
Before booking, paying or admitting any Provider into your premises, you are responsible for satisfying yourself that the Provider is suitable, lawful, qualified, insured and trustworthy. Where appropriate, ask the Provider directly for identity documents, licences, references and proof of insurance, and check them independently.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 is using the Platform, we may suspend or remove the account.
You can create an account and sign in with your email address and password, with a one-time code sent by SMS, WhatsApp or email, with a passkey, or with a supported sign-in service such as Google, Facebook or Apple. Signing in with WhatsApp works only for an existing account. You must give accurate and current information, keep your phone number and email address up to date, and keep your password, devices and codes secure. Never share a one-time code with anyone, including someone who says they are from Clinket.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at once at support@clinket.com if you think someone else has used your account. For your protection, we may end your sign-in sessions, ask you to sign in again, or ask you to confirm a code before a sensitive change.
A booking, quote or invoice is connected to your account only through a phone number or email address that you have confirmed with a code. If a Provider records you with details you have not confirmed, those records stay separate until you confirm the contact. If a booking or invoice is shown to you that is not yours, use the “This isn’t my booking” or “This isn’t my invoice” option, or contact support.
A Business is created and held by its Primary owner. One account can be the Primary owner of only one active Business, but it can be a team member of other Businesses and can also use the Platform as a Customer.
To help Customers find local services, Clinket may prepare a public page for a business that has not yet joined Clinket, using information that the business has made publicly available, such as its name, services, prices, opening hours, address and business contact details. Such a page is marked as set up by Clinket from public information, and it does not accept online bookings until the business claims it.
If you use the Platform as a Provider, you must:
If you use the Platform as a Customer, you must:
When you phone a business that uses the AI Assistant, you may be speaking to an AI, and the call may be recorded, as explained in Section 14. If you call from a phone number that is linked to your Clinket account or to the business’s records, the AI Assistant may recognise you by that number and greet you by name.
Search results show only Providers and services that are relevant to what you searched for and that serve your area. Among relevant results, the order depends mainly on distance, whether the Provider comes to your address, ratings and reviews, how responsive and reliable the Provider has been, whether a business has recently joined, and whether a live offer applies. A Provider on the Premium plan receives a small advantage when results are otherwise very close, and Premium Providers are offered suitable Customer requests before Providers on the Free plan. A business with the Verified business mark may also appear slightly higher when results are otherwise very close. Where the app offers it, you can also sort results in another way, such as by rating.
Prices, availability and descriptions on a public page are set by the Provider (or, for a page prepared by Clinket, taken from public information until the business claims it). Clinket does not change a Provider’s prices and does not show prices or offers in a way that is intended to mislead. Reviews are written by Customers and are subject to our Community Guidelines.
The Platform sends messages by in-app notice, push notification, email, SMS and WhatsApp. WhatsApp messages are sent through Meta’s WhatsApp service from a shared Clinket business number for India. Message delivery depends on third-party networks and services, and we cannot guarantee that every message will arrive.
The AI Assistant is an optional add-on for Providers. When it is switched on, calls to the Business’s assistant number can ring the Business first and be answered by the AI Assistant when the Business does not answer, outside business hours, or at once, depending on the settings the Business chooses.
Using the information and instructions the Business gives it, the AI Assistant can answer questions, take messages, arrange callbacks, send quotes and information by WhatsApp or email, and create booking requests. A booking request created by the AI Assistant becomes a booking only when the Business confirms it. A caller can also ask the AI Assistant to stop future calls from the Business, and that request is recorded and honoured.
AI can make mistakes. It may misunderstand a caller, give incomplete or wrong information, or fail to complete a task. The Business is responsible for the information and instructions it gives the AI Assistant, for the answers given on its behalf, and for reviewing the bookings, quotes, messages and contacts the AI Assistant creates.
Not an emergency service. The AI Assistant cannot call or connect anyone to emergency services such as 112, and it must never be relied on in an emergency. Callers with an emergency should hang up and call emergency services directly.
Outbound calls lets a Business ask the AI Assistant to call people on its behalf. When the AI Assistant makes an Outbound call, the Business is the caller. Clinket provides the tool and does not decide whom the Business calls or why.
The Business indemnifies Clinket under Section 27 for any claim, penalty or loss arising from calls or messages made at its request.
Ask Clinket lets a Business ask questions about its own documents and records. Each team member sees only what their role allows. Documents and questions are processed by Microsoft Azure AI services on our behalf. Other AI features on the Platform help to read uploaded documents, write descriptions, draft call scripts and suggest follow-ups.
AI answers and drafts can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check them before you rely on them, and do not treat them as professional legal, tax, financial or medical advice. You are responsible for the documents you upload and for how you use the results. We do not use your documents, questions or answers to train AI models.
Payments in India are processed by Razorpay. Clinket never stores full card numbers; our payment processor holds them. Your use of a payment method is also subject to the terms of your bank, card issuer or UPI app.
Unless the app shows that you can pay for a booking online through Clinket, payment for a service is made directly between the Customer and the Provider, and any advance, refund, cancellation fee or settlement is a matter between them. Online payment for bookings is not available everywhere. Where it is offered, the payment terms shown at checkout apply in addition to these Terms.
Our Privacy Policy explains how Clinket handles personal data as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
When a Business adds, uploads or imports details about its Contacts or customers, records calls, or uses Outbound calls, Ask Clinket or Contacts for its own purposes, the Business decides why and how that personal data is used and acts as the Data Fiduciary for it. Clinket processes that data on the Business’s behalf to provide the Platform. The Business must:
You keep ownership of the Content you submit, including listings, photos, documents, licences, certificates, messages and reviews. You grant Clinket a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, copy, use, adapt (for example, by resizing, translating or formatting), display, publish and distribute that Content to operate, secure, improve and promote the Platform. This licence lasts for as long as the Content is on the Platform and for a reasonable time afterwards to remove it from backups and caches; it continues for reviews and for Content that others have already shared or that we must keep by law.
If you are a Provider, you also allow Clinket to show your public page and public Content on the Platform and to make them available to search engines and AI assistants, so that people can find your business.
You confirm that you own or have permission to use all Content you submit, that it is accurate, and that it does not break these Terms or the law. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We may remove or refuse Content that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, but we do not review all Content before it is published.
This Section applies to everyone who accesses the Platform, whether or not they have an account, and whether they act directly or through software, a contractor or any other person. By accessing the Platform, you agree to it.
We want search engines and AI assistants to find, show and quote public Clinket pages so that people can find local services. You may do so only if you:
The Content on the Platform belongs to Clinket and to the businesses and users who provided it. The selection, arrangement and compilation of listings, services, prices, reviews and other information on the Platform is Clinket’s work and is protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other laws. Unauthorised access to, or downloading, copying or extraction of data from, the Platform may also be an offence and give rise to liability for compensation under the Information Technology Act, 2000, including section 43.
We may block or limit any automated access, withdraw the permission in Section 20.1 at any time for anyone, and seek every remedy available to us, including an injunction, damages and recovery of our costs. To ask for permission for any use not allowed above, write to legal@clinket.com.
The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, the name and logo “Clinket”, and all related trade marks, is owned by Clinket or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the Platform in line with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Platform, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law expressly allows it.
If you believe Content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, write to our Grievance Officer as described in Section 28, identifying the work, the Content and the place where it appears, and we will act on your complaint as the law requires.
In line with rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that:
You must also not:
We may remove or disable access to Content that breaks this Section, suspend or end accounts, keep removed Content and related records for the period the law requires, and report unlawful conduct to the authorities. Where the law requires, we will provide information to government agencies that are lawfully authorised to ask for it. We will remind you of these rules at least once a year.
Booking a service through the Platform often involves admitting a person you do not know into your home, business premises, vehicle or another place, or visiting a Provider’s premises. Such meetings carry real-world risks that Clinket cannot foresee, prevent or control, including theft, burglary, property damage, bodily injury, assault, harassment, sexual misconduct, fraud, identity theft, deceptive pricing, no-shows, poor workmanship, loss of valuables, data loss, exposure to communicable disease and failure to follow safety standards.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you accept these risks as your own. Clinket has no duty to inspect, vet, supervise or guarantee the safety of any Provider, Customer, premises or service. You are responsible for using sound judgement about which Providers you engage, whom you admit to your premises, and what precautions you take before, during and after any service. In an emergency, contact emergency services on 112.
We may suspend, restrict or end your account, a Business, a listing or any feature (including the AI Assistant or Outbound calls), with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe that you have broken these Terms or the law, that you create a risk to safety or security, or that you expose Clinket or other users to legal or reputational harm. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you the reason and give you a way to respond.
You can stop using the Platform at any time. You can ask to delete your account in the app or by writing to support@clinket.com. We deactivate the account at once and complete its deletion within the time the law requires, keeping only what the law requires or permits us to keep, such as tax and billing records, stop records for calls and messages, and records needed to prevent fraud or to deal with disputes. Deleting your account does not close a Business you own; close the Business separately, or transfer it first.
Sections 2, 4, 18 to 23 and 25 to 29, and any other terms that by their nature should continue, continue after your account ends.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, Clinket does not promise that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure or free from errors, that listings, prices, prepared pages or AI results are accurate or complete, that messages or calls will be delivered, or that any Provider or service is fit, safe, lawful or of good quality. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clinket and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss, claim or demand arising from or relating to: any Provider’s or Customer’s identity, conduct, service, omission, negligence, fraud or misconduct; service performance; theft or burglary; personal injury, illness or death; property damage; loss of data, profits or business; a missed call, message or booking; an AI error; disputes between users; or any other matter outside Clinket’s reasonable control.
If liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, Clinket’s total liability to you for all claims combined will not exceed the lower of the amount you paid directly to Clinket (excluding amounts paid to or for the benefit of Providers) in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 5,000.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, to the extent mandatory law prohibits its exclusion.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Clinket, its affiliates and their officers, directors, employees, contractors and agents from and against all claims, losses, damages, penalties, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) arising out of or relating to: your Content; your conduct; the services you offer or receive; your breach of these Terms or of the law; the personal data you give us or ask us to process; and, if you are a Provider, every call and message made at your request or on your behalf through the AI Assistant, Outbound calls or any other feature, including any breach of telecom, consumer protection or data protection law.
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, in each case as amended or replaced from time to time, Clinket has appointed a Grievance Officer to receive and resolve complaints about the Platform, including complaints about Content, these Terms, our services and personal data.
If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer’s decision, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee established by the Government of India within the time the 2021 Rules allow. Customers may also approach the National Consumer Helpline or a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Complaints about personal data are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which also explains how to approach the Data Protection Board of India.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the rules made under it, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — in each case as amended, re-enacted or replaced from time to time — apply to the extent they apply mandatorily to you as a user located in India. Nothing in this Section deprives a consumer of any right to bring a complaint before a consumer commission established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. When we make changes, we will show you the updated Terms and you will need to review and accept them before you continue to use the Platform with an account. Visitors without an account are bound by the version shown on the Platform when they access it. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Platform and, if you wish, delete your account.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over the Platform, and we will tell you if we do.

You pay only after the job is done. There is no deposit and no prepayment, and a booking that does not happen costs you nothing. After you have paid, you can ask for a refund during the period shown on the booking; the provider can approve it or send it to support for review. Contested funds remain frozen until the dispute is resolved. Card networks keep their processing fee when a payment is refunded, so the share for the refunded amount is deducted from the refund unless the provider chooses to cover it. The amount returned to you is confirmed once the refund is processed.
